Chris' Aeolian Journey

exploring sounds of the wind

table harp
Similar to a
classic window
sill aeolian harp,
but with "wings"
or "foils"
to direct the wind
across the strings.

Otherwise, the
harp creates an
eddy that disturbs
the flow of air
across the strings.

The flow of air
is so efficient
in this design
that the harp
can sit on a
table in high
wind and
never move.

The harp box
consists of
foam board. The
top is one piece,
creased to make
the "wings" after
an incision was
created on the
back side of the
board.
